Kanchit Rongchai is an industry-driven Engineering researcher, lecturer, innovator and sustainability advocate. His multidisciplinary professional background stems from experience in UK technology and engineering industry developing new products and services.
His current research leverages artificial intelligence (AI) and his cross-disciplinary collaboration to innovatively solve sustainability challenges such as renewable energy, energy saving, climate change, smart communities, sensors, thermal systems, and healthcare.
He has received a 9.1M research grant and leads a research team on developing sustainable and accessible medical devices using AI, and another 1.7M grant on climate sensors to help small communities in Thailand adapt to climate change.
He works with government authorities and industry in Thailand to help digitise small and medium-size enterprises and communities. He is also extending his work to the UK and globally, and actively looking to form international collaborations on research and education.
